Privacy notice
This notice explains how Obiqu handles personal data when you visit our marketing website or contact us about our services.
Last updated: 19 July 2026
Who is responsible?
Obiqu, Nuremberg, Germany, is responsible for the processing described here. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@obiqu.com.
What data do we handle?
Our web server may process your IP address, request time, requested page, device or browser information and security events. If you request a demonstration or contact us, we process the details you submit and our related correspondence.
Why do we use it?
We process enquiries to take steps at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We protect and operate the website based on our legitimate interests in a reliable and secure service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where the law requires consent, we ask before processing.
Language detection
When no language has been saved, our server uses the request IP address to determine only whether the country is Germany, Sweden or elsewhere. The lookup runs locally; the IP address is not sent to a geolocation provider or stored for this purpose. You can override the suggestion at any time.
Cookies
We currently use only essential cookies. obiqu_locale stores your language for up to 12 months. obiqu_cookie_choice stores that you have seen the privacy choice for up to 6 months. These are required to provide your selected settings; no advertising or analytics cookies are currently placed.
Recipients and transfers
Authorised Obiqu personnel and service providers needed to host, secure or answer enquiries may receive relevant data under appropriate contractual safeguards. We do not sell personal data. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, we use a lawful transfer mechanism where required.
How long do we keep data?
We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose, legal obligations, security and the establishment or defence of legal claims. Retention depends on the record and applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can also complain to your competent data-protection authority.
Contact and changes
Contact privacy@obiqu.com to exercise your rights. We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change; the date above shows the current version.
